I had a sudden idea for a new #DnD5e player character: a #Vistani Divination #Wizard based on #dccomics's #MadameXanadu
So I recreated her in #HeroForge, drawing visual inspiration from different renditions of the character across media. I feel she'd fit right into the #ForgottenRealms as a Vistana Seer.
Just adding yet another PC concept to the pile, lol.
I finished my #MadameXanadu pre-#New52 #chronology with the #Vertigo #comic series by #MattWagner et al.
What. A. Series! This quickly became one of my top #dccomics / Vertigo comics. I'm absolutely in love with this series and the way Madame Xanadu's history was interwoven with DC Comics history.
I highly recommend this series if you're looking for something off the beaten path when it comes to DC comics.
I've been reading through the #CrispusAllen run of the #Spectre and finished #FinalCrisis Revelations today. Gotta say, not really a fan of Cris as the Spectre. I get the angle the writers were going for with his story but it doesn't resonate with me like #JimCorrigan or #HalJordan's did.
Taking a little break to read #Shadowpact (for #Enchantress) and the #MadameXanadu series to catch up on my parallel chronology readings before closing out the pre-#New52 Spectre continuity.
I put my chronological read-through of #dccomics #TheSpectre on hold just before Day of Judgment to catch up on my read-throughs of #MadameXanadu (completed) and #JuneMoone #Enchantress.
I'm reading through #JohnOstrander's #SuicideSquad run for the Enchantress stuff right now. While #CaraDelevigne's performance and costume design in the movie piqued my interest, I really like Enchantress's design in the classic Suicide Squad comics most of all.
The fact that I've been reading #dccomics The Unexpected #190-195 should tell you that #MadameXanadu and Doorway to Nightmare have enchanted me.
Think I'm going to need to make another #comicbook #chronology project. Oh, yes.
Ooh, I'm really liking this #anthology approach to #MadameXanadu's debut #comicbook series, Doorway to Nightmare.
Still making my way through the #DougMoench run of #TheSpectre. I can sort of understand why it's not talked about as much as the #JohnOstrander run, but I still enjoy it.
I like the rapport Moench built up between the Spectre and #MadameXanadu. I'm not a huge fan of the change of #JimCorrigan's personality from previous and subsequent appearances, but I like the story structure of him running a private investigation business.
Overall, not too bad an entry.
