The older kids were reading out instructions for something (a toy? a game???) to the younger kids.

At some point, the little girl scoffed, "No one would do that!"

The little boy then chimed in with a slightly-offended tone, exclaiming, "I would!"

😂😂😂

Absolutely fabulous. I adore the directness of kids. No idea what they were learning about but the exchange keeps making me smile ever since. 😀

On the weekend I was out replacing the bird feeder and dealing with some spring cleanup, etc. A bunch of kids were playing next door and as always, it makes me very happy to hear kids doing exactly that! ❤️

I wasn't really paying attention to them though, so without broader context I caught a snippet of their conversation that nearly made me laugh out loud: 😀

I have always enjoyed meadows and fields. As a kid, growing up in really really small towns, there was plenty of empty space to kick around in, and I did.

Every day I waited for the school bus to take me home so I could wander through magical places that did not remotely look like a classroom.
