The weak rays of the sun greeted Nyx when she appeared in a lonely alley of St. Fort Quarter. Damn, how long had she been with Qixoq? Four hours? Five? Nyx crossed the street, passing rows and rows of buildings until she found Lindy’s, her favourite coffee shop.

Did that knock wake her from her sleep? No. That couldn’t be. Perhaps it was something else. Was the potion losing its effects? Nyx had said it wasn’t a cure.
