Toronto Today's estimate that counterprotesters outnumbered the racists 10 to 1 last Saturday is plausible. The photos I've seen don't really do justice to the size of the crowd. But the racists coming in from the east would have seen the size of the crowd as they walked past us. Unfortunately those walking in from the west may not have realized just how badly outnumbered they were. That morso than than any rational debate is more likely to change the minds of those authoritarians. But we got to see we're not alone, and the festival deeper in the park was able to go ahead.

@pauliexoxoxo Welcome Paulie! You'll want to make a list with # Introduction (no space) so people can find you.

There's quite a few people from Toronto here on the Fediverse and I'm sure some of them rave. Lots of queer people here!

Here are some other tags that might be useful: #Toronto #TorontoEvents #topoli

You can follow the tags and the posts will show up on your feed, and that'll help you to find more people to follow. Takes a touch of effort to get a good feed going, but you'll get there soon enough.

Eglinton & Holly @ 6PM

I'll be walking out the door for this momentarily. No Cargot Robbie today, she's in the shop.

Because the city could proceed with the planned EglintonTOday redesign. Ban parking on Eglinton and add a bus lane until the LRT is oprational. Instead the city is proceeding with a more expensive, politically risky 2-stage redesign.

So we rally to remind council that we're waiting, but not patiently.

CoSocialShow Up Toronto (@showuptoronto@cosocial.ca)Today at 6PM: Rally and Ride for Eglington (Eglington and Holly). Tell the city you support bike lanes on Eglington! Toronto City Council has already approved the bike lanes between Keele to Mt Pleasant. Delaying them further will cost more, snarl traffic twice, keep people unsafe, and risk provincial interference under Bill 212. Come join Cycle Tornto for a rally and ride to tell the city no more delays! https://www.cycleto.ca/rally_for_eglinton #toronto

John Tory spent 8 years cutting (after inflation) housing, transit, pools, parks. Secret talks with Ford for more mayoral power. Ran for re-election and quit within hours of someone asking about his affair.

Starved Toronto and ran away. We don’t need Tory back.

Bloody hell this is maddening. The province builds bike lane segments in front of every new LRT station, expecting the city to build the rest.

Now the city is saying it won’t do that, because the province doesn’t like bike lanes anymore?#Bill212

So now cars don’t have their lane AND cyclists are unsafe. Great job everyone.
