Harry "Hot Lips" Hamlin fought against UK Standards and Practices censors' desire to make the Medusa decapitation better for kids by removing the decapitation action.
He stayed in his trailer the day of filming it and convinced other crew members to back leaving the decapitation scene in the film.
As you can see, it remained.
