Yeah, okay.

So, in Curse of Strahd the Paladin is making advances on Vanasia (Vistana & reincarnation of Tatyana), who is very much reciprocating. Our Warlock is dating a cultist, who is fiercely in love and very fanatic, and our Bloodhunter is declaring her love to the Abbot (who has just outed himself as a Deva, and thinks the group has been sent by the Dark Powers to foil his divine mission).

Just a perfectly normal CoS campaign.

I want Curse of Strahd to include a cursed, but immensely powerful artifact, akin to the Hand of Vecna, that the players get to safekeep after the conclusion of the adventure.

An item that embodies Barovia (and it's overarching theme), that promises power, but exacts a heavy toll.

Currently, I'm thinking of making the "Tome of Strahd" into one, but having a "Heart of Strahd", "Claw of Strahd" or "Skull of Strahd" might also be interesting. 🤔

Ravenloft Poll: In our Curse of Strahd campaign each one of Strahd's female consorts has mastered a specific type of magic (blood, shadow, and vermin).

What should Escher be?

Hello. I suppose I should make a #introduction.

I am Vale, and I'm part of the same
#plural system as @etherealsasha@transfem.social. I am an introject of our D&D character from #CurseOfStrahd - a changeling Aberrant Mind Sorcerer, with some features changed to be more fey-like.

My profile picture was drawn by our cleric, and the background is a photograph taken by Skye, an old headmate of ours, on the southern coast of Oregon.

I'll probably use this account to post whatever writing I've done, which currently is none, but I'd like to change that.

I'm not too sure what else to put here. If I think of anything, I'll reply to this post with it.

First D&D session of the year (Ravenloft). Started 2025 by having a major antagonist from one of the character's backstories resurface.

She's essentially a vampire blood mage, that uses a pack of "blood hounds" (feral vampires) to hunt, and is based on Volenta Popovich.

The party is at lvl 9, which means they'll be facing a lot of the big bads of Barovia in the next couple of sessions, concluding with Strahd von Zarovich.

Ravenloft Poll: The Abbot has left St. Markovia after hearing of angelic sightings in the Svalich Woods. After years of searching, he has yet to find the celestial behind it.

He assumes that the celestial cannot properly manifest in Barovia, as the dark forces in this land extinguish its light. In his madness, he intends to build something to aid the celestial, and allow it to enter Barovia.

What does he do in his madness?

Hey friends! So my new DnD mousepad designs came in as well as restocks! This MIGHT BE MY LAST MOUSEPAD ORDER??? If the Trump Tariffs pass, ordering more will become untenable. So if you're interested, snag one now!

While I'm not going to attempt to chronicle every session I run, this weekend's Curse of Strahd game had some interesting developments, both due to the adventure, and also how the group dynamics work at our table. #DnD5e #5eOGL #CurseOfStrahd
