Toei absolutely peaked when they created Elena Amamiya/Cure Soleil in Star Twinkle Precure.

If y'all have never seen Star Twinkle Precure, Elena ain't just tan - she is canonically half-Mexican.

MY GIRL IS FRICKIN HISPANIC.

It has been five years and my Puerto Rican ass will NOT shut the fuck up about her.

HISPANIC. MAGICAL. GIRL.

Some final thoughts on #HirogaruSkyPreCure (thread ahead)

Conclusion first, I’d rank this season higher than many, but it won’t replace my top tier PreCure series. The main reasons are that it didn’t have the greatest villains (Kabaton was interesting, but the ones that followed were unimaginative in their schemes to fulfill their mission) and the main characters had less development in the second half.
Nevertheless it was trying a few new things, had an interesting world building, and the main plot regarding the villains really got me thinking - also the resolution convinced me.

I think at episode 3 I’m now warmed up to #WonderfulPreCure.
Iroha and Komugi are so similar in their characteristics that they don’t add a lot of variety and the first episodes were rather standard PreCure stuff, but they’re establishing Satoru as another main character (no PreCure powers in sight for him yet, though) and next will be Mayu and Yuki.
The third episode also finally introduced some plot bits that make me want to know more, like the whereabouts of Niko / Nico.
