apparently Roger Corman once said that you should have to get Papal dispensation to make a movie longer than 90 minutes
i'm not sure the bar should be quite that high but i think it should definitely involve a lot of red tape and the director personally having to make a phone call and endure being put on hold for the entire runtime they're proposing
