A retired baker replied with an offer to help as he enjoyed problem solving. Anyway, we are now in the "we have a problem" situation, but I cannot recall the name of the person who offered to help, to see if they can help us.<br>If anyone knows, please tell me !!<br>Thanks.</p>

Thankfully in the nearish future I will be buying a new machine so perhaps I will assuage my envy.<br><br></span><a href="https://mewblog.thepolarbear.co.uk/tags/Baking" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Baking</a><span> </span><a href="https://mewblog.thepolarbear.co.uk/tags/BreadMachine" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#BreadMachine</a></p>
Lorena H<p>Have I mentioned how much I've been loving my new bread machine? Nothing tops fresh hot bread slathered with butter. Except maybe… nah, just kidding. Nothing tops it.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/bread" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bread</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/breadmachine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>breadmachine</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/freshbread" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>freshbread</span></a></p>
Guyroscope<p>I <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Bake" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bake</span></a> all the <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Bread" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bread</span></a> we eat, using a <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/BreadMachine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BreadMachine</span></a> for the midweek sandwiches &amp; toast and hand making "fancy pieces" at the weekend. I'm delighted with it all except..</p><p>I make a lovely baton. It tastes great, tears in a satisfying way but <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Baguette" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Baguette</span></a> it isn't. The crust doesn't have that brittle snap &amp; crack. It's better than what I'd get from a supermarket but I'd love to get closer to the real thing. </p><p>Is this possible in a domestic oven? I've tried putting a tray of water in but to no avail.</p>
🌸 Just Annie 🌸<p>First Bread Machine Loaf. Smells good. Depressed in center slightly, but that may be due to yeast not as fresh as could be. Taste undetermined. <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Bread" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bread</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/BreadMachine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BreadMachine</span></a></p>
