George Ellenburg (he/him/his)<p>Been using <a href="https://bofh.social/tags/NextDNS" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#NextDNS</a> now for over six months and hands down this is worth every single penny of the subscription! I have a <a href="https://bofh.social/tags/Synology" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Synology</a> WAP/ firewall/ router connected to <a href="https://bofh.social/tags/Starlink" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Starlink</a> (in <a href="https://bofh.social/tags/bypass" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#bypass</a> mode) and have the NextDNS daemon installed on the router. Since the router is the DHCP server and authoritative <a href="https://bofh.social/tags/DNS" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#DNS</a> server for my <a href="https://bofh.social/tags/LAN" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LAN</a>, it ensures all of my DNS <a href="https://bofh.social/tags/traffic" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#traffic</a><span> and NS lookups are encrypted and handled by NextDNS.<br><br>And, NextDNS has DNS-level web content filtering, so I have all </span><a href="https://bofh.social/tags/ads" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ads</a>, <a href="https://bofh.social/tags/tracking" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#tracking</a>, and other "<a href="https://bofh.social/tags/annoyances" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#annoyances</a><span>" filtered out as well.<br><br>The result? A very fast, and very pleasant web experience whether I'm on my phone, my laptop, or my PC.<br><br>Seriously. Can't recommend NextDNS enough!</span></p>

ThinkingSapien<p>There are a lot of noises that sound different over the phone to me than in person. One is the sound of a person chewing their food. Perhaps it is because there BT is in contact with their face when they are chewing. </p><p>I'm not shy about ending a conversation because I don't want to hear someone chew. </p><p>Yet I have a friend that will call me after visiting a drive-through and call me chewing hashbrowns. John Harris<p>I like <a href="https://mefi.social/tags/Mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mastodon</span></a>, but there are some specific <a href="https://mefi.social/tags/annoyances" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>annoyances</span></a> that I feel all the time, listen here for reference:<br>1. Often a comment being presented as if it were a root-level post, and it's difficult to find the conversation it's a part of.<br>3. Related, sometimes have to open a post's original page to view its context, meaning, to then interact with it, I have to _then_ paste its URL into my home instances' search box.<br>2. A comment's boosts and likes are mostly hidden (or presented as "1+") unless I go to its original page, and even then it's rarely accurate.<br>4. My timeline sometimes gets truncated. I'm pretty sure there should be more than 21 posts on it right now, but there seems to be no way to load more.</p>
