This Is My Glasgow<p>Between the 13th and 15th of March 1941, the German airforce dropped over 250 tonnes of bombs on Clydeside, killing around 1,200 people (half in Clydebank and half in Glasgow). This gravestone in Eastwood New Cemetery is a reminder that to this day, not all the bodies of those who were killed were ever identified. It's one of half a dozen similar stones in a row tucked away at the back of the graveyard.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/glasgow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>glasgow</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/eastwoodnewcemetery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>eastwoodnewcemetery</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/gravestones" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gravestones</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/cemetery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cemetery</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/clydebankblitz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>clydebankblitz</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/graveyard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>graveyard</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/wwii" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wwii</span></a> &nbsp;</p>
