DesertFOX<p>I just got back from work and found a fresh set of 5.25 inch floppy disks waiting for me. This is Maxis A-Train for IBM-PC from 1992. Perfect KryoFlux streams were dumped. I will upload both of them to The Internet Archive later tonight! 😉 </p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/KryoFlux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>KryoFlux</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/FloppyDisk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FloppyDisk</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Diskette" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Diskette</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Maxis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Maxis</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DOSGames" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DOSGames</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DOSGaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DOSGaming</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/RetroGaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroGaming</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/RetroGames" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroGames</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/MSDOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MSDOS</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DOS</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/IBMPC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>IBMPC</span></a></p>

Tim 🎮<p>I have a Surface Pro 6 I'd like to use for some touch-enabled <a href="https://digipres.club/tags/retrogaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retrogaming</span></a> and <a href="https://digipres.club/tags/dosgaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>dosgaming</span></a>. I especially want to try The Incredible Machine using a pen - but the mouse input is relative, not absolute, and a touch anywhere but the centre of the screen zips the mouse cursor off to the edge.</p><p>There appear to be no relative vs absolute mouse settings in the game, D-Fend, or Windows 11. Tonight, I'm having an absolute blast playing around with Microsoft's Flight Simulator 4.0 and its "Experimental Jet Aircraft" from the "Aircraft & Scenery Designer" expansion.

Seeing this old game, which is so dear to my heart, running super smooth in full SVGA resolution and with all of this extra in-game content makes my inner 12 year old jump up and down from excitement! This is what retro gaming is all about!

I probably made a lot of people in Paris pretty nervous today, with my Learjet flying so low over the streets of the city. Sorry, I just wanted to make sure this scenery pack for Flight Simulator 5 works as intended. It sure does work! And it looks sweet!

Thanks again to @Telev for his generous upload! If anyone's into retro games and floppy disks, they should follow his account here on Mastodon and on the Internet Archive. This guy's a wizard!

Have fun everyone!
