This week's theme of #TuneTuesday is #SummerLovingSongs and my Summer album will always be 'Fast Stories... From Kid Koma' by #Truly: an underrated album from an underrated #90s #Grunge band, who undeservedly never really broke through like #Nirvana, #SoundGarden, #PearlJam, etc..

Hot Summer 1991 is probably "funny" now compared to the 21st century Summers due to the #ClimateCrisis, but if you like this #psychedelic #ShoeGaze song, please listen to the entire album. 🙏

Last night I was properly introduced to Wreckage by Pearl Jam;

IMHO it's a masterpiece, among their finest work. To be able to sing about such deep sadness, with so much joy and optimism, speaks to a strength of character I can only aspire to.

I'm so gutted I missed the chance to see them on this tour. But that's all part of the wreckage I'm combing through.

I forgot to post yesterday, but I FINALLY have bought and am going to a #PearlJam concert next year. I’ve been listening to them since Ten (I remember Mother Love Bone before that, but I don't think I was an earlier fan than the rest of the world). For whatever reason, over the years, I’ve never gotten to go (not enough money, not touring near me and couldn't get away, or just missed buying tix). Anyway, they're coming to Raleigh next year and I made a point of being sure to go. Very excited! 😃

It seems they haven't performed it live very often, but I just stumbled across a live version recorded at an Atlanta show in 1995;

Thirty years ago today on December 6, 1994 Pearl Jam released their third album, Vitalogy on vinyl (originally released on November 22). It features one of their more popular songs in Better Man and one of the weirdest songs they recorded in Bugs. It held on the to record of most vinyl albums sold in a week until 2014 when Jack White's Lazaretto broke their record.
