Now playing the 'Redux' version of Pearl Jam's debut album Ten. I can't quite put my finger on why, but I do think this version sounds a little better than the original.

IMHO it's a masterpiece, among their finest work. To be able to sing about such deep sadness, with so much joy and optimism, speaks to a strength of character I can only aspire to.

I'm so gutted I missed the chance to see them on this tour. But that's all part of the wreckage I'm combing through.

I forgot to post yesterday, but I FINALLY have bought and am going to a #PearlJam concert next year. I’ve been listening to them since Ten (I remember Mother Love Bone before that, but I don't think I was an earlier fan than the rest of the world). For whatever reason, over the years, I’ve never gotten to go (not enough money, not touring near me and couldn't get away, or just missed buying tix). Anyway, they're coming to Raleigh next year and I made a point of being sure to go. Very excited!
