so when i did the clicky-buttons mod in my Steam Deck, part of the issue i was having was that the pivot point in the d-pad had become too shallow, so that it was possible to press all the input directions at the same time by pressing the middle of the cross. i'm pretty sure this is because they have you stick on a little decal to the under-side of the d-pad to protect the membranes.

what would you recommend to add some extra height to the pivot point of a d-pad? i think this would be really helpful for precision issues as well.

The fancy buttons I ordered for my GBA mod will be arriving soon, and now I have to make some important decisions about whether I want to wait until a screen upgrade is in the budget or go ahead and replace just the (sad, discolored) shell, since I have an Analogue Pocket for actually playing GBA carts so it's more of an art project than an everyday gaming gadget.
